Internships through RI offer a year-long opportunity to grow as a leader, serve with a team of peers, and support RI’s programs in Columbus, Ohio. During their year of service, interns practice discipleship, encourage and care for others, and learn to live missionally in whatever context they are in.
Internships are for people who:
- Feel called to “send” or want to learn more about being part of a sending team
- Wish to grow as a leader and develop an ability to disciple others
- Want to serve the nations that are coming to the U.S., engage in inner-city ministry, and gain exposure to issues such as poverty and homelessness
- Desire to support, serve, and care for the needs of workers, participants, and guests
- Seek to empower and equip the local church to be more missional
- Are prepared to challenge themselves by entering a season of sacrifice and discipline

The year at a glance
January–May
Grow through sessions designed around self-leadership, spiritual maturity in Christ, and team unity.
June–July
Help lead and mentor youth groups through City Challenge, an inner-city missions program.
August–December
Provide leadership and encouragement to the participants of the REACH discipleship program.
Summer Internships
Are available from June to July, and provide a chance to pour into the lives of high school students through City Challenge and support RI’s short-term team.
