REACH

Who am I? Who is God?

What am I supposed to do about it?

REACH is a year-long missions program that provides a space for 18-30 year olds to explore life’s big questions and begin to live them out. Along the way, participants will be stretched, mentored, discipled, and given the tools to pursue a life of devotion to God in whatever setting they find themselves.

What’s it like?

REACH begins with three months of discipleship and missions training in Columbus, Ohio, followed by six months of cross-cultural outreach exciting locations around the world. The last three months include personal mentoring and local ministry in the participant’s home area.

REACH is for those who…

  • Feel a call to “go” and/or want to discern future long-term work overseas
  • Desire to be discipled and to become a disciple-maker of Jesus
  • Want to experience other cultures and gain exposure to more of the world
  • Actively want to engage in missions through hands-on and relational service
  • Seek to cultivate a kingdom-minded community
  • Are prepared to challenge themselves by engaging in a season of sacrifice and discipline

During REACH God gave me a hunger for Him that I haven’t experienced in a while. It was like a desperate desire for God to come and show me His love so that I could more easily love those around me.

DB – Team Eurasia

I’ve realized more than ever just how much our own neighbors, communities, and country needs us to share Jesus with them.

KB – Team USA, Phoenix

Before REACH, I thought of God as ‘off-limits’ in a way; but now I see God as relational and caring.

AM – Team Mediterranean

I feel like my whole understanding of, and ability to listen to, the Holy Spirit has grown so much through REACH... I’ve felt God breaking my heart for this country and the people here.

KO – Team Indochina

There were times when I was worried or anxious about things and God would always come through, showing me over and over that he is trustworthy.

JK – Team Montana

Before REACH, I thought of God as just God (he's good, loving and nice); but now, I see God as a best friend, Father, lover of my soul.

CT – Team Himalayas

2024 Locations

The map below shows potential outreach locations, the exact locations for REACH 2024 will be selected before training school begins.

USA (Phoenix)

In partnership with AimRight Ministries, Team Phoenix will serve disadvantaged communities through a variety of programs including tutoring, Bible studies, food distribution, refugee outreach, and sports ministry. Through these efforts, they will build relationships with youth and offer them an alternative to the drugs, gang violence, and hopelessness that surrounds them.

Himalayas

Team Himalayas will work with a growing local church to spread the love of Jesus around the country. They will be involved in a variety of outreaches, including trekking into unreached villages to share the gospel; volunteering at a drug rehab center; teaching English; preaching; and assisting in discipleship training.

Albania

This Albania will work closely with a new church plant, helping with worship, building relationships, and working with youth and children’s activities. They will also teach English and focus on serving the country’s minority Roma population.

Zambia

While living in a rural village, Team Zambia will serve alongside Love’s Door’s staff and joining their disciple-making church planting movement. There are plenty of activities to be part of, and days could include working with orphans, building relationships, discipling new believers, teaching job skills, supporting their child sponsorship program, and doing evangelism outreaches to local villages.

Senegal

Team Senegal will work closely with a local church in a rural community. In addition to building relationships with their neighbors through fellowship and outreach, the team will support village kids’ clubs, teach Sunday school, volunteer with an orphanage, assist teachers at a local school, and visit neighboring villages.

Thailand

This team will join RI’s long-term team as they work to build relationships and disciple new believers in Bangkok. They will serve through teaching English, ministering to kids, prayer walking, building relationships with locals, and helping with the needs of the long-term team.
