Who am I? Who is God?
What am I supposed to do about it?
REACH is a year-long missions program that provides a space for 18-30 year olds to explore life’s big questions and begin to live them out. Along the way, participants will be stretched, mentored, discipled, and given the tools to pursue a life of devotion to God in whatever setting they find themselves.
What’s it like?
REACH begins with three months of discipleship and missions training in Columbus, Ohio, followed by six months of cross-cultural outreach exciting locations around the world. The last three months include personal mentoring and local ministry in the participant’s home area.
REACH is for those who…
- Feel a call to “go” and/or want to discern future long-term work overseas
- Desire to be discipled and to become a disciple-maker of Jesus
- Want to experience other cultures and gain exposure to more of the world
- Actively want to engage in missions through hands-on and relational service
- Seek to cultivate a kingdom-minded community
- Are prepared to challenge themselves by engaging in a season of sacrifice and discipline
2024 Locations
The map below shows potential outreach locations, the exact locations for REACH 2024 will be selected before training school begins.
USA (Phoenix)
In partnership with AimRight Ministries, Team Phoenix will serve disadvantaged communities through a variety of programs including tutoring, Bible studies, food distribution, refugee outreach, and sports ministry. Through these efforts, they will build relationships with youth and offer them an alternative to the drugs, gang violence, and hopelessness that surrounds them.
Himalayas
Team Himalayas will work with a growing local church to spread the love of Jesus around the country. They will be involved in a variety of outreaches, including trekking into unreached villages to share the gospel; volunteering at a drug rehab center; teaching English; preaching; and assisting in discipleship training.
Albania
This Albania will work closely with a new church plant, helping with worship, building relationships, and working with youth and children’s activities. They will also teach English and focus on serving the country’s minority Roma population.
Zambia
While living in a rural village, Team Zambia will serve alongside Love’s Door’s staff and joining their disciple-making church planting movement. There are plenty of activities to be part of, and days could include working with orphans, building relationships, discipling new believers, teaching job skills, supporting their child sponsorship program, and doing evangelism outreaches to local villages.
Senegal
Team Senegal will work closely with a local church in a rural community. In addition to building relationships with their neighbors through fellowship and outreach, the team will support village kids’ clubs, teach Sunday school, volunteer with an orphanage, assist teachers at a local school, and visit neighboring villages.
Thailand
This team will join RI’s long-term team as they work to build relationships and disciple new believers in Bangkok. They will serve through teaching English, ministering to kids, prayer walking, building relationships with locals, and helping with the needs of the long-term team.
