Lift up the many health needs of people on or close to the team in the south. Several are sick or in pain, one individual has heart issues, and another is suffering the effects of a stroke. Ask God to bless them with good health and allow them to return to the needs of those around them.

Transitions seem to be a constant part of cross-cultural life. Ask for God’s peace and for hearts resting in him as Esperanza’s team in the Mediterranean walks through transition, travel, and some uncertainty this summer.

Short-Term Programs Staff
Lift up the Short-Term Programs staff as they lead City Challenge in 2026. Students will be learning, worshiping, and serving in Columbus from June 8 to July 17. Pray that they would not only learn more about Christ but would also grow in their confidence in sharing his gospel.

Lift up the growing church as they look to plant two more churches in Bissau, the country’s capital city. Ask God to direct the planting team to the people he has prepared, and pray that these churches would blossom into fountains of living water.

Pray for a new believer as she uses a projector to share the Jesus Film with her neighbors. Pray that God would use this tool to bring more interested people into discussions with the team in the south.

Pray for workers who will return to the United States for home assignment this month. Ask for safety in travel and for meaningful connections with family, friends, and supporters during those busy months. Ask also for rest and refreshment as they prepare to return for another term.

Praise God that Tonya’s surgery went welL! The surgeons were able to remove everything in her abdomen that was causing pain. Pray over her recovery process, asking that she would be able to quickly get back on her feet and resume her translation work.

Lift up the hostel students who have returned to their villages for the summer. They have set a goal of sharing what they’ve learned about Jesus with at least five people. Pray for confidence, peace, and good opportunities for those conversations, and ask that seeds would fall on good soil.

Pray for Cora as she returns to her regular rhythms after a couple months of traveling. Ask God for perseverance during language learning, and pray that he would fill her days with opportunities to interact with the women in her community.

Lift up the family as their time in Bangkok comes to a close. Pray especially for Tom & Candice’s three children as they return to the States two weeks earlier than their parents to begin summer jobs. Ask for safety and for a smooth transition for their family.

Amos recently spent time in the States grieving the loss of his grandfather. Pray that the family would be able to celebrate his life and memory well. Pray also for the local body of believers as they work through 1 Corinthians together.

The church in Guinea has planted twelve new churches and is in desperate need of leaders. Pray that God would send those leaders for the growing church, and ask that the local bodies are able to discern the correct fits for their leadership positions.

Lift up the RI staff as they experience many personnel changes. This month, three new employees will go through orientation and step into roles with RI. Pray that they will learn their positions quickly and experience God’s grace and love in the process.

William & Laura returned to Spain on May 30. Their time in Costa Rica was fruitful with many good connections; a number of people expressed interest in joining the work in Spain! Pray over the couple’s re-entry and ministry, and ask God to move in those interested in joining the work.

Pray for Hiralal & Bindu’s son. He has started a new job in IT and is working in an office where there are no other believers. Pray that he would find many ways to share the love of Jesus through his words and actions.

Praise God for the recent connections that Cora was able to make with a local family, with other single women serving in the Mediterranean, and with other caregivers of children with exceptionalities. Pray that these interactions would continue to be life-giving and encouraging.

Marcus has joined the STP team as Program Facilitator in training! He is currently learning the ins-and-outs of City Challenge, and will spend the rest of the year familiarizing himself with all other aspects of the department. Pray blessing over him as he learns and takes leadership.

RI continues to search for new workers to meet growing needs in West Africa. The growing body of believers needs people to disciple them and model Spirit-filled marriage and family life. Pray that the Lord would impress this calling on those would could fill this role.

Tonya is still in need of further funding. Ask God to provide donors for Tonya and her mission. Ask also for perseverance, and pray that she and others working on translation projects would resolve any unforeseen roadblocks.
