Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting, begins today. Please lift up the hearts of Muslim friends; may they hunger and thirst for the Truth. Pray also for RI’s workers, as this can be a hard month with unpredictability and heaviness. Ask God to move in surprising, encouraging ways.

Pray for Tom and a group of students as they return to Bangkok tomorrow after time with Lan and the hostel students in the southeast. Pray that their interactions with the students would be mutually encouraging and would expand their view of God’s love and his Kingdom.

Lift up Dan as he spends time with the team in the south. Pray for them as they study the Bible, pray, and seek God’s direction for strategy in their work. Pray also for safety as Dan return to the States tomorrow.

Lift up a friend as he makes serious decisions about whether to walk with the Father or to choose his own way. Pray for another man who expressed a commitment to faith but has ceased contact with the fellowship. Ask the Father to continue working in his heart and lead him to seek connection.

Pray for a patient who had surgery to remove a tumor last fall. He had been doing well, but was recently readmitted to the hospital with swelling and intense nerve pain. There is no clear surgical or pain management path for him; pray for healing and that he would know God’s comforting presence.

Praise God for three new believers who were baptized last month! Two of them came to faith through the soccer ministry and the third is a friend of a hostel student. Pray for these new believers as they grow in their faith, and lift up Lan and the hostel students as they disciple them.

Praise God for the many connections the team has made through Love’s Door, and for the opportunities they’ve had to share the love of Jesus. Ask that they would continue to remain in the world, ready to share whenever a door opens.

Pray for the youth and young adults of Comunidades Unidas Anabautistas as they take charge of hosting a youth conference this week. Ask God to use them to touch the lives of many of Spain’s young people and to reignite a flame in them.

Pray for Dave & Mayela, LAMP Representatives, as they visit Costa Rica and Ecuador to encourage pastors and leaders in missions. Pray for mission vision in these countries, and ask for good connections and safe travels.

Lift up Tom as he accompanies grades 10-12 on a spiritual emphasis weekend at a nearby beach. Pray that the worship and messages would help his students better understand God, and ask that they would have good conversations during this time away from school and studies.

Praise God that a plan is in motion to start a pig farm in an animistic village! Land has been purchased and a well put in. Pray with Devin for the success of this project, particularly its ability to open doors for the local church to minister.

Lift up a Hindu friend who is open to talking about God with the team. Praise God that the team is planting seeds, and ask God to grow them. Ask that this man’s heart would soften and that Jesus would draw him in.

Lift up a believing woman who recently lost her employment due to her connection to the fellowship. Ask God to give her courage to attend the fellowship again, and wisdom about what steps to take next.

Pray for Phil as he helps Pastor Ivan with sermon preparation and teaches an adult theology class and Engaging Contemporary Culture. Pray that these courses will continue to be useful in building up the church fellowship in the faith.

Praise God for providing Madison as a second ward educator! Her presence allows Audrey to work in the wards and connect with patients and nurses more often. Pray for this pair as they work together and share ideas.

The team shares a courtyard with their landlady and her family. This has led to many conversations and interactions between them. Pray that the team can build a good relationship with this family and show them the love of God, and ask that their hearts would be open to his truth and love.

Praise God for Nila’s easy transition to life in South Asia! She has completed her first phase of language learning and will start phase two soon; continue to pray for her language growth. Pray also for continued health as her body adjusts to a different cuisine and higher levels of pollution.

Pray for Devin’s team as they take steps to open a new chicken farm in a Muslim village. Pray that they would find a manager who is qualified to run the farm and shares their vision to use the business as an avenue for ministry.

Some local evangelical churches plan to hold a music festival in an open-air auditorium in May. Pray that the local authorities will grant permission for the churches to use this public facility, and ask that the musical presentation (a fusion of flamenco and gospel) will effectively communicate the gospel.

Praise God for the safe delivery of a son to H (hostel supervisor in the south) and her husband! Thank God for this blessing of new life, and pray for the couple as they adjust to parenting. H has done a wonderful job of mentoring the students in their education and discipleship; pray for wisdom as the team finds coverage for the hostel during her absence, and as H decides what her ongoing involvement should be.
