He is Strong in Our Weakness: A REACH Update

By January 22, 2020April 9th, 2021No Comments

Over the past few weeks Team Israel has been sharing testimonies with some of our friends here, and it has been awesome to see the power of vulnerability in bringing people together. As we have been open with each other, we are reminded that vulnerability encourages those you are sharing with to be vulnerable as well. It brings freedom when you don’t have to carry a lonely burden. By being vulnerable with each other our relationships have deepened, making it feel as if people we have known for a month are old friends. And most importantly, our vulnerability gives the opportunity for the Father’s power to be magnified through our weaknesses.

“…putting my identity in anything but him is like walking on thin ice, where I am constantly performing a balancing act to keep my reputation from falling through.”

Sharing stories reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles, and it allows us to learn from our friends. This week the Father taught me that putting my identity in anything but him is like walking on thin ice, where I am constantly performing a balancing act to keep my reputation from falling through. When I root myself in being his beloved child I can rest in the fact that my identity is constant because he is constant. No more balancing acts.

How can you be vulnerable this week? Let Him be glorified through your weakness.
