Over the next few weeks we will be introducing our 2020 Interns. This group of seven REACH graduates will spend the year deepening their relationship with God, serving at the RIC, and being discipled. RI is grateful for their hard work and is excited to see them grow this year.
Annie grew up in Goshen, Indiana, and is serving as one of this year’s RI Interns. As she helps out in various leadership roles for the REACH and City Challenge programs, she will focus on assisting RI’s Food Services Manager, Susannah, with meal planning, shopping, and cooking.
Some of Annie’s hobbies include playing the ukulele, singing, and soccer. She says she comes “from a very big soccer family” and has been playing and watching since she was four years old. Annie also likes to challenge herself by doing things she has never tried before. One such adventure happened last year when she went to Albania with REACH and taught English to elementary students. “I never thought I would be able to teach English,” Annie said. “That was a growing and stretching experience that I’m really thankful for.”
Annie also looks back at her time in REACH DTS as a time of growth. She especially felt herself changing for the better when teammates and others who knew her well spoke life into her. She said, “Having people see things in me, and calling that out in me, and encouraging me just meant a lot. This year, I want to pour into others like I was poured into.”
Please pray for continued strength and unity for Annie and the other Interns as they serve God at the RIC this year.
Hi Annie,
I pray for you and believe you are growing in Christ through your serving experience.
Thanks for all you do.
