Introducing Ginny: Hospitality Intern

By February 7, 2020April 15th, 2020No Comments

Over the next few weeks we will be introducing our 2020 Interns. This group of seven REACH graduates will spend the year deepening their relationship with God, serving at the RIC, and being discipled. RI is grateful for their hard work and is excited to see them grow this year.

As one of the hospitality interns, Ginny will spend the year helping prepare the RIC for guests, as well as providing leadership during City Challenge in the summer and REACH Discipleship Training School (DTS) in the fall.

Coming from the small town of Abbeville, South Carolina, Ginny is looking forward to spending this year in Columbus. She is already enjoying her close proximity to a wide variety of restaurants, parks, and (best of all) libraries. Ginny loves books and she can be found reading anything from biographies or historical fiction to the classics.

Last year, Ginny’s REACH team went to Albania, where she discovered the joy of teaching. Her team taught second and third grade English classes and Ginny grew to love interacting with and influencing her students. In the six months since returning from REACH, Ginny began her degree in education and wants to pursue teaching as a career. This year, Ginny is praying for God to grow her patience and humility as she works with the young people who come to the RIC. She hopes that these attributes will help her better impact those around her with Christ’s love – whether that be friends, family, or future students.
